Different Types of
Therapy
At Dublin Mind Clinic, our therapeutic focus is integrative, which means that instead of using one specific psychological approach, we integrate theories and their respective interventions, from multiple psychological approaches, to best accommodate each different client’s needs, at each given moment in time.
Our different psychological
approaches include:
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
-
Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)
-
Choice Theory
-
Person Centered Therapy (PCT)
-
Psychodynamic therapy
-
Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)
-
Humanistic Therapy
-
Family and Couple (Systemic) Therapy
-
Behavioural Therapy

just to name a few
Neurofeedback Training
Neurofeedback Training (NFT) is a type of brain training that is based on learning through operant conditioning. Through the non-invasive and painless method of electroencephalogram (EEG), NFT measures and records your brain wave activity.
The way that your brain training works is that, when you are using your brain in ways that will help you with the behaviours that you wish to train in yourself (your personal, behavioural goals), you will be rewarded (positive feedback) with the continuation of a film of your choice that you will watch in our clinic’s screen.
In contrast, when you are using your brain in ways that hinder your behavioural goals, the film that you are watching will begin to fade, pause and flicker (absence of reward of positive feedback).

Therefore, through the experience that you gain from NFT, your brain ends up learning to function in the way that best enables the achievement of your behavioural goals.
